Through these partnerships, we can also connect eligible families to Medicare-covered respite care and Alzheimer’s/dementia support programs—helping caregivers find relief and resources without financial overwhelm.
VA Aid & Attendance and Veterans Benefits Support
Many veterans and their spouses are unaware they may qualify for VA Aid & Attendance, a benefit that can help offset costs related to long-term care, in-home support, or assisted living. Persoanl Touch Placement Services has been such a blessing for our family. Our family had thought that my mom and dad were placed in the perfect environment when we moved them into the Village eight years ago. Last year my dad died and we still felt it was the perfect place for my mom. Little did we know that my mom would suffer a fall which would cause her to need 24/7 care for the unforseeable future. My mom not only broke her femur, but twisted C1, fractured C2 and C3, and had a stroke. Unable to put her in a halo because of her age, my mom would need to have someone watching her round the clock.
